The helicopter option is perfect for people with limited time or those who prefer not to hike as much.  From Flores, it will take 40 minutes to arrive in Mirador.  The helicopter you will travel in is maintained to the highest North American standards and flown by an experienced and qualified pilot.

Traveling by helicopter gives you the choice of a one day trip or spending the night in Mirador and returning the next morning.

The day trip will typically leave around 7:00 am and return late in the afternoon.  You will be provided with lunch, a guide and a guidebook.

Please see our recommended packing list for what you will need to bring.  Day trips are perfect for those wishing to view and climb the ruins and learn about their history and construction.

Those opting for the overnight trip will leave in mid-morning and return around noon the next day.  You will be provided with meals, a guide and a guidebook.  Our packing list will help you plan what to bring.  Our “eco-tents” are large, comfortable and environmentally friendly tents where you will spend the night.  Camping in Mirador will be an experience you won’t forget.  The opportunities to watch a sunset or sunrise from a temple, stargaze in the blackness of the jungle and listen to the jungle wake up are experiences you will not forget.
